Aurora Strings
Overview
Aurora Strings formed in 2001 and is made up of graduates of the
Elder Conservatorium at the University of Adelaide. This versatile
string quartet is in demand for functions and concert series around
Adelaide, performing music from their classical and popular repertoire.
In 2005 they were invited to perform Steve Reich’s ‘Different Trains’ in
the Adelaide Festival of Arts. Other guest appearances include in the
Feast Festival, a cabaret style concert with French singer and
songwriter Martin Rappeneau on his Australian tour and more recently at
the Trak Cinema for the Adelaide premiere of the Jan Kounen film ‘Coco
Chanel and Igor Stravinsky’.
Our wide range of repertoire extends from light classics to famous
musicals, tangos, jazz and popular modern tunes. Aurora Strings
specialise in tailoring music for wedding ceremonies and look forward to
playing on your special day.
