Overview

I have been a Civil Celebrant since 1995, and have performed many varied ceremonies in that time. There are the usual celebrations of marriage, birth, and transition, but also ceremonies that mark other events in our lives. A skilled presenter and communicator, I can assist you in planning your Wedding Ceremony. I bring a varied background to this work, including being a parent, an adult educator, and a local government councillor.

Not sure what you want? You are welcome to explore your ideas with me, I will detail the options available and give you a range of suggestions for you to consider. Together we can devise a ceremony that suits your needs. Each ceremony is planned with care after detailed discussion with the participants. It takes into account their ideas and intentions, and may include music, verse, song, or elements of ritual as appropriate. Handfastings are a speciality, and I am happy to incorporate rituals and traditions from others cultures and beliefs into your ceremony. I have also incorporated naming ceremonies into weddings on request. I am happy to provide references from other couples who have been married by me, and will dress to suit the style and format of your wedding, varying according to location, time of day, and theme. I also have a small PA System that can be used when the situation warrants it. Each couple receives a Guide Book of Ceremonies to help in defining how to word and structure their ceremony, and I have other reference material if required.

Many weddings, are arranged from a distance, either from interstate or overseas. The widespread use of the internet makes such organisation relatively simple to achieve, but I can assist you to make arrangements if required. You may need to arrange local photographers, musicians, caterers, transport, or flowers. After consultation with you in relation to your needs and your budget, I will make the bookings according to your instructions. I can also advise on potential venues for your ceremony.

Whether you are planning an elopement, an intimate ceremony with family and close friends, or the grand event that you have always dreamed of, I would be delighted in assisting to make the day everything that you would hope.
