Your wedding day is one of the most significant and exciting days of your life - and your marriage ceremony is the living heart of that special day! Celebrate the beginning of your life together as husband and wife in a ceremony which is uniquely crafted to reflect your personal, spiritual and cultural beliefs.

There are some elements common to all marriage ceremonies, but there is also the freedom to express your love for each other, and share your joy, hopes and dreams with your guests in a way which is truly YOU! At our first meeting, I will Iisten to your ideas and share suggestions and examples of poetry and prose to inspire you. If you ask me to be your Celebrant, and after you have confirmed your booking, you will receive a carefully prepared ‘first draft’ of your marriage ceremony created from our discussions. This gives you the opportunity to ensure that all your wishes have been included and to make any changes. The ceremony is not finalised until you are absolutely happy with it.

The marriage vows are an integral part of the ceremony. You may wish to write your own and perhaps keep them as a wonderful surprise for each other on the day! Or you might work on them together ... it’s up to you! The promises you make using your own words come straight from your heart and can be a very powerful and wonderfully moving moment for you both! If writing your own doesn’t feel right, I have many examples to share with you.

There are many ‘sub-ceremonies’ which you may like to include to symbolise your togetherness, for example, the handcleansing ceremony : warming the rings : the candle ceremony : the soil ceremony : the lovers’ knot : the wine ritual : the rose ceremony.

I live in Aldgate and conduct ceremonies in the many beautiful locations in the Adelaide Hills. I also travel to the coast, to the Adelaide metropolitan area, and the northern and southern wine districts.
